Sai World Education Conference - July 2008 in Prasanthi Nilayam.

The following note was received from Dr Goldstein, chair Prasanthi Council and SSSWF, through Dr Pal Dhall, chair Zone 3. This gives further Guidance provided by Swami for the pre-world education conferences and the world conference.

The Sri Sathya Sai World Education Conference

Bhagavan Baba has most graciously given His Guidance regarding the Content and Conduct of the forthcoming Pre-World Conferences culminating with the Sri Sathya Sai World Education Conference in Prasanthi Nilayam on July 20-22, 2008. Our Beloved Swami has reiterated the need for unity. International educators are working together, and the International Sri Sathya Sai Organization is working with the All-India Sri Sathya Sai Organization to raise the forthcoming conference to a new level of quality, unity, and love in action.

The scope of this conference is unprecedented. All aspects, programs, materials and practices of Sri Sathya Sai Education will be considered. All Sathya Sai educators everywhere will participate directly or indirectly. We regret the practical limitations that imposed constraints on the number of delegates from International Sai Organizations and also from the All-India Sai Organization. However, by virtue of the Pre-World Conferences and our intention to record and distribute the World Conference proceedings, everyone will be included.

Participation from the International Sri Sathya Sai Organization will include: 95 countries in nine Zones under Sri Sathya Sai World Foundation covering Africa and Middle East, Asia (outside India), Europe, North America and Latin America.

• (1) Sai Spiritual Education (SSE/Bal Vikas) currently active in 95 countries
• (2) 42 Sathya Sai Schools in 26 countries
• (3) SSEHV (including community SSEHV) in 70 countries
• (4) 24 Institutes of Sathya Sai Education (ISSEs) in 24 countries
• (5) 64 National and one Regional Pre-World Conferences are currently taking place in 59 countries preparing for the Sri Sathya Sai World Education Conference
• (6) Major public interactions (Conferences, Community SSEHV Programs, etc.) will be represented in the Conference Exhibition.

Participation from the All-India Sri Sathya Sai Organization will include:

• (1) The Sri Sathya Sai University and Educational System
• (2) The Sri Sathya Sai EHV Institutes and Schools
(3) The Sri Sathya Sai International Centre for Human Values, New Delhi
• (4) Sri Sathya Sai Bal Vikas in India
• (5) Teachers, students, alumni, and members of the above Institutions

This will indeed be a formidable Sri Sathya Sai World Education Conference The Pre-World Sai Education Conferences.

The Pre-World Conferences are commencing. I am sending in the attachments to this correspondence material that constitutes the substance of these conferences including:

• (1) Proposed Sai Institute Guidelines
• (2) Sathya Sai School Guidelines, and
• (3) Core Syllabus of Sathya Sai Institutes

Zone Chairmen will distribute these documents to the delegates of Pre-World Conferences that will take place. In addition, Zone Chairmen should be sure to send copies to the delegates of those Pre-World Conferences that have already taken place.

These documents are preliminary drafts that are being submitted for the review of all Sai Educators and senior office bearers everywhere. They will be further reviewed, and, if appropriate, revised at the Sri Sathya Sai World Education Conference. The review process will be the result of pertinent questions that arise from all delegates in the Pre-World Conferences and the contributions of the delegates at the Sri Sathya Sai World Education Conference. Most importantly, we will review and revise as needed in order to be in adherence to the Divine Message, Divine Guidance, and Divine Inspiration of our beloved Bhagavan Baba.

During the course of the Pre-World Conferences many questions may arise. These questions should be discussed and then recorded and submitted to the Zone Chairman who will appoint a committee of Educators to review the questions in order to ensure quality and avoid redundancy. After the initial review, the questions will be submitted to the Sri Sathya Sai World Foundation for further review. They will then be condensed into a meaningful and constructive consolidation of your ideas and concerns. We will address these concerns at the World Conference.

The Sri Sathya Sai World Education Conference Exhibition

Bhagavan Baba has graciously given His Permission for the International Sri Sathya Sai Organization, working hand in hand with the All-India Sri Sathya Sai Organization, to present a comprehensive Exhibition of Sri Sathya Sai Education. All facets of Sathya Sai Education will be included in the exhibition:

• (1) SSEHV
• (2) SSE, Bal Vikas in India
• (3) The Institutes, the Schools
• (4) Community EHV etc.

We will require the cooperation of all Sai Organizations to accomplish our best effort. Tom Scovill, member of the Education Committee of the Sri Sathya Sai World Foundation, will be the coordinator, and Kalyan Ray and Vijay Desai will supervise his efforts to collect suitable materials for the exhibition. Tom will send specific guidelines regarding the content of the exhibition to the Zone Chairmen, Sai Institutes, Schools, and others in order to coordinate our best effort. Professional photographers will be engaged by the local Sri Sathya Sai Organizations.

This Sri Sathya Sai World Education Conference is a wonderful opportunity for Sathya Sai Educators everywhere. Actually, this Sai Conference, and all Sai Conferences, all Sai Events, all Sai Organizations should be regarded by all of us lovingly as opportunities to find ourselves, our true selves, and thereby uplift, enlighten, and sanctify human life.
